HeroineHeroine Movie Review:

The story mainly revolves around star film actress Mahi Arora, who enjoys stardom in the glamour world. Meanwhile, she faces so many difficulties in her career and her happy days start meltdown in no time. She fails to concentrate on her acting career, as she focuses mainly on marrying her boyfriend Aryan Khanna (Arjun Rampal). This leads to her disastrous downfall. Does Mahi rebounds from her sinking career or not should be watched in theaters.

Film Analysis:

Madhur Bhandarkar has opted for the same plot that was attempted by him in his previous film Fashion that showed the dark side of the glamour industry. Nothing new in the film, only Kareena’s raunchy dances and emotional performance is the saving grace.

Madhur has successfully dealt the reality of showbiz industry in his previous films with engaging screenplay, but for this film, the fizz was totally missing. The long run, confusing-dull narration and stale dialogues are main drawbacks for Heroine. Apart for these, music is also a big let down; only the title tack is good. Editing is okay, a little more trimming is required in first half. BGM is good.

Kareena Kapoor played the character Mahi Arora convincingly in her style, her skin show and stupendous performance scores full marks. On the other side, the two protagonists Arjun Rampal and Randeep Hooda have supported her well. Remaining cast like Shahana Goswami, Ranvir Shorey, Helen and Divya Dutta does a decent job in their parts.

Final Verdict:

On the whole, Heroine has nothing to woo viewers, as the film lacks of good script and story. Watch the film for Kareena, if you are ardent fan of her. Otherwise, give Heroine a miss.
