Saputara offers a pleasant bracing cool climate, panoramic view of lush green forest and breathtaking views of the sunrise and sunset. The Saptura has a snake image on the banks of the river Sarpganga, which is worshipped by tribals. The tribes of the locale worship this snake image during Holi festival.

Saputara is provided with all the necessary facilities like hotels, parks, swimming pools, boat club, theaters, ropeways and a museum. Boating on the slow moving water waves of Saputara Lake is quite amazing. The gardens on the banks of the river are always dotted with various flowers provides precious enjoyment for visitors.

Saputara experiences a uniform weather all over the year. The best time to visit Saputara is in mid of the march to the mid of the November. The ropeway run by the Hotel Vaity creates an awful experience for visitors. Mahal Bardipura forest wild life sanctuary at a distance of 60 km from Saputara offers excellent walking and trekking options. The other prime destinations in and around Saputara are Vansda National Park, rose garden, Purna Sanctuary, Boating, Sunrise point, sunset point and The Ropeway.

Billimora is a most convenient railhead; about 80 km from Saputara. There is also bus facility available from Chikhli, Billimora, Nasik and Surat to reach Saputara. Air conditioned and non air-conditioned bus services available daily from Surat and Nasik. Nasik is also stands as one of the convenient railhead to Saputara. There are State Transport buses and private coaches from Waghai and Ahmadabad.

Accommodation is easily available in the form of hotels, cottages and log huts. Several restaurants in Saputara offer mouth watering food to the tourists. The Gujarat Tourism Corporation runs a well-equipped cottage at Saputara.
