Abu is a green oasis in the barren deserts that's Rajasthan.The hill retreat owes its cool climate to its rich flora covering the entire hillside that includes coniferous trees and flowering shrubs. The mountain forms a distinct rocky plateau 22 km long by 9 km wide. The highest peak on the mountain is guru sikhar, is referred to as 'an oasis in the desert’.

The town of Mount Abu, the only hill station in Rajasthan is having numerous places and temples to watch. Mount Abu wildlife sanctuary, achalgarh fort and nakki Lake Etc are some places to watch. The mountain is also home to several hindhu temples, including the Adhar Devi Temple Shri Raghunathji Temple, dattatreya temple, the durga temple, and the ambika temple. Mount Abu is also the location of madhuban which is the headquarters of the brahnma kumari’s world spiritual university.

The nearest railway station is at abu road, in the lowlands 27 km southeast of Mount Abu. It is very well connected with daily travels bus service from Ahmedabad and other big cities of Gujarat. There are Regular trains from Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Indore, Agra, Bhopal, Gwalior, Delhi, Jabalpur, ajmer, Mumbai, ahmedabad, pune, Calcutta, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bangalore and weekly trains from Trivandrum.
