HATKOTIBelongs to Shimla region in the state of Himachal Pradesh, the beautiful village Hatkoti is located on the banks of Pabbar River and surrounded by paddy fields as well as apple trees. The cool valley is also well noted for its famous pilgrim temples.

Things to see and do:

The famous hatkeshwari temple constructed in the traditional shikhara style is located in this place on the banks of Pabbar River. The one of the most ferocious incarnations of goddess durga, Mahishasurmardini is seen in the temple. The idol inside the temple is made up of bronze. A Temple of lord Shiva too is situated in the complex. The locals believe that temple was constructed during 6th and 9th century A.D. Ancient sculptures such as Vishnu, yakshas and an elegant Lakshmi Vishnu with garuda are found in this Hatkeshwari temple.

Around Hatkoti:

Comprised of majestic mountain ranges and Apple farms, the Rohru is a beautiful and splendid town located in the district of shimla in the state of himachal Pradesh. One can enjoy camping, hand gliding, para gliding, trekking and fishing in Rohru. Wide varieties of apples are grown by the local people. The extraordinary landscapes and green mountain ranges of the valley make this location a most prominent tourist spot in Himachal Pradesh.


Lying on the Shimla-Rohru highway, Giriganga is magnificent tourist destination mixes with a green and generous nature. The beautiful valley on the banks of the lovely shores of a river offers amazing view of the sceneries. One can enjoy the natural aura here, walking tracks, postcard sceneries and hiking. Nearest airport and railway station are in Shimla about 104km distance from Hatkoti. Tourists can reach this place by road, special buses are provided by state transport corporation from Rampur that lies at a distance of 103 km from this cool region.
