Ladakh,Jammu and Kashmir, North India.
LadakhLadakh is located in Jammu and Kashmir, northern part of India. It is bounded by two mountains Kunlun mountain range in the north and the Himalayas to the south. The largest town of Ladakh is Leh, from November to May ladak is strictly cut off from the outside world.

Historically Ladakh region includes Baltistan valleys, the Indus Valley, the remote Zangskar, Lahaul, Spiti to the south and the Nubra valleys to the north. Travelling ladak in summer is would be very thrilling which involves all these height mountain passes in the world.

Ladakh sometimes is called as “Little Tibet” as it is influenced by Tibetan culture, which is to the east, Lahaul and Spiti to the south and Jammu Kashmir to the south which has its own beauty.

Ladakh has a strong presence of Indian army as it is a part of Kashmir dispute; Chinese authorities closed the borders with Tibet and Central Asia in 1960s except for tourism. Even the Indian government has strongly encouraged tourism.

As earlier mentioned Leh is the largest town of Ladakh, it is said that Ladakh has still Buddhism culture, where the majority of Ladakhis are Tibetan Buddhists, the rest are Shia and Sunni Muslims.

Some of the interesting places to see in Ladakh are Phyang Gompa, Hemis Monastery, Thikse Monastery and the city is sourounded by its own beauty. Tourist love to watch and click interesting things like Chorten in Ladakh, carved stone tablets, Ladakhi woman in a traditional dress and hat, from top bus leaving Likir village for Leh, ladak, vehicle on the Himalaya Highway 3, Market in leh etc.

Ladakh Flora and fauna are most beautiful things to watch in the town, Ladakh has a great diversity of 225 different species of Birds. Some of the rare species found in Tibetan plateau are The Black necked Crane, Grus nigricollis breeds in ladakh and the state bird of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Bharal or blue sheep is the most oversufficient mountain you can see in ladak region.
