Coconut Burfi

Ingrediants :

Dried and finely grated Coconut – 600 g

Sweetened Condensed Milk – 600 g

Cardamom powder – 1½ tsp

Ghee or Butter – 2 tsp

Cashew nuts for garnishing

Any edible colour (optional)

Directions :

First of all, roast grated Coconut on medium heat in a non-stick pan. Roast until it produces a nice smell, but do not brown it

Add Sweetened Condensed Milk plus Cardamom powder to it and mix well. Cook the whole item for about 5 minutes. Turn off the gas and allow the mixture to get cooled.

Grease the Butter or Ghee on a flat baking sheet and pour the coconut mixture evenly on its surface. Later, freeze the whole thing in a refrigerator for about 90 minutes.

Remove the frozen mixture from the refrigerator and cut it into desired shapes.
