Description :

The Jain Temple is most popular temples in Kolkata; it is situated in north east of the city, this temple was built in 1867 by Ray Badridas Bahadur. It is one of the main attractions for the tourist. There are four temples at Jain Temple. The main temple is dedicated to Sri Sital Nath Ji who is the 10th Jain Avtaar.


The structure of this temple contains the Mirror-inlay pillars and the windows, which are made of glass and the floor has the marble design. It also has garden, which contains the European Statues which are painted with Silver Paint.


This temple contains the small streams which are attached with flowers; the north of the temple contains the greeting room and a museum. The Museum contains the collection of the old and ancient arts and architecture of this temple. This temple had verenda; one can reach this verenda by thirteen Marble Stairs.


One of the temples is on the north of this temple; this temple is belonging to the Mahavira who was the last guru of the Jains. On the south of this temple is belongs to the Sri Sitalanath Ji, it was built in 1895. There is another temple where the Dadaji Garu and Kushalji Maharaja were worshipped.


This temple is visited by various tourists from different places. Thousands of people visit this temple every year. The temple is open on every day from 6 A.M to 11 A.M and 3 P.M to 7 P.M
