Sripuram Golden temple is a famous temple located in the Thirumalaikodi near Vellore in the Indian State of Tamilnadu. When people hear about Golden temple they think of Amritsar Golden temple. But now it has a good competition, this temple was constructed by the most famous Leader Narayani Amma, he was also called as Sri Sakthi Amma. This temple covers an area of 100 acres of land.

The Golden temple of Mahalakshmi is fully construted with gold. Over 1.5 tonnes of gold has been used, the temple has carvings and Sculptures covered with Gold. The cost for the Golden Temple construction was estimated about 600 crores of Indian Rupees. This temple presents the Goddess Narayani. The lord covered from crown to feet is made of solid gold of 1 kg weight. The construction of the temple completed in August 24, 2007. It has been used 1500 kg of the gold to build this temple. It is the largest Golden temple in the world, You have ever seen like this golden temple anywhere in India.

It contains the star shaped structure from where one can enter to reach the temple. This star shaped structure path is about 1.8 km in length.

One can reach Sripuram temple by Chennai or Bangalore Airports. And there are plenty of buses which are available from Chennai, tirupati, and all other major Towns. Katpadi is the nearest railway station in the Chennai-Bangalore of southern railways. From Chennai to Vellore it is about 150 kilometers and it takes 3 and half hour drive from Chennai. From Tirupati it was about 95 kilometers.

Many people visit this temple, foreigners also visit Sripuram temple and most of the devotees from tirupati also visit this temple.
